E Komo Mai  (Welcome)

 

 

Born and raised on the island of Oahu, Pat (Palika, in Hawaiian) is a master of Hawaiian ukulele.  Pat has performed professionally throughout the United States as a live entertainer and also as a studio vocalist and musician.  He has performed onstage at concerts in Hawai'i, Japan, and throughout the mainland United States.  As a solo entertainer or with one of several musical groups with which he appears regularly Pat has headlined at restaurants and nightclubs and has performed at hundreds of weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, retirement parties, luaus, corporate events, and other special occasions.

 

 Palika is also well-known to students of the ukulele.  For many years, Pat has conducted ukulele workshops and instructional courses around the world.  Legions of beginners through advanced players have attended Pat's workshops at ukulele festivals throughout Southern California and also in Hawai'i, Japan, New York, Seattle and elsewhere.  Pat's workshops have been held at ukulele clubs, music stores,  colleges, on Princess and Norwegian ocean liner ukulele cruises, and in adult education programs.  His unique and entertaining 'playing-by-ear' method has benefitted hundreds of aspiring ukulele players

 

Pat also serves as President and Alaka`i (Conductor) of the Ukulele Society of America, which he helped to found.
